Football Legend Pelé Hospitalized

World football legend Pelé was hospitalized yesterday Wednesday 12th November due to stomach complaint which caused him to miss an event at the museum honouring his career in Santos, Brazilian media reported.

Pele 74 was taken to São Paulo’s Albert Einstein Hospital as a precaution, according to the TV station Globo. Other media quoted a spokesman as saying Pelé was not believed to be seriously ill.

Santos prefecture indicated Pelé had been unable to attend a book launch “for health reasons” and that the event would be rescheduled.
