Kanye West and Jimmy Kimmel called a truce as the rapper appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Wednesday, October 9. Insisting that their feud was not fake, the GOOD Music label boss said
, "I've never done a publicity stunt in my life."

Kimmel took the chance to apologize to West for making fun of his interview, but explained that he did it simply because he liked to see kids curse. "I didn't think it would be something that would bother you," he said, adding that he had previously done similar sketches for other celebrities.

West then explained his tirade against Kimmel, saying that it was caused by frustrations from years of tabloid press. "This is the one person I know, so I can go and let out everything that I feel about every single bogus Weekly cover. Every single bogus skit... Every person who feels it's OK to treat celebrities like zoo animals," so he claimed.

The rapper looked at the comedian with a stone face when Kimmel said a lot of people thought West's a jerk, but then added that he often defended the music star. "I often in my own personal conversations say 'No. I know this guy. He is not a jerk,' " Kimmel said, showing a picture of West with his father.

Addressing West's statement in which he declared himself a "creative genius," Kimmel thought it was "a weird thing to say" but believed that most people quietly thought themselves genius and what West did was really honest. West agreed as saying, "I'm totally weird. I'm totally honest and I'm totally inappropriate sometime. For me to say I wasn't a genius - I would just be lying to you and to myself."

At one point, Kimmel referred to West's fiancee Kim Kardashian as his wife, but West didn't bother to correct Kimmel. West, however, took issue with a statement which said the reality TV star would never get a star on Walk of Fame. Calling the Walk of Fame dated and old-fashioned, he said, "There's no way a Kim Kardashian shouldn't have a star on the Walk of Fame."

Most of the time, the interview was serious, but West did smile at a skit in which Josh Groban sang his tweets. "That was funny right?" Kimmel asked West, to which the rapper replied, "Yeah."

West was also rambling about his creativity, how people perceive him in entertainment industry and over-intrusive paparazzi. The interview was so long that musical guest Arctic Monkeys was bumped from the television broadcast.
