HEALTH TIP: Make Sure Kids Drink Enough Water

If kids don't drink enough water, every part of their body won't function properly, health experts say.
The Nemours Foundation offers these tips for parents to make sure kids are staying hydrated:

• Water and milk are the best fluid choices for kids. Offer them plenty of fruit as well, since it has high water content.
• Encourage children to drink with meals and any time they are thirsty.
• Make sure children drink more water when the weather is warm, especially if they are outdoors.
• Encourage drinking water before, during and after sports practice or a game.

HEALTH: Cutting-edge Microscopy Reveals How Neuron 'Claws' In The Brain Enable Flies To Distinguish One Scent From Another

Think of the smell of an orange, a lemon, and a grapefruit. Each has strong acidic notes mixed with sweetness. And yet each fresh, bright scent is distinguishable from its relatives. These fruits smell similar because they share many chemical compounds. How, then does the brain tell them apart? How does the brain remember a complex and often overlapping chemical signature as a particular scent?

Researchers at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) are using the fruit fly to discover how the brain integrates multiple signals to identify one unique smell. It's work that has broader implication for how flies - and ultimately, people - learn. In work published in Nature Neuroscience, a team led by Associate Professor Glenn Turner describes how a group of neurons in the fruit fly brain recognize multiple individual chemicals in combination in order to define, or remember, a single scent.

The olfactory system of a fruit fly begins at the equivalent of our nose, where a series of neurons sense and respond to very specific chemicals. These neurons pass their signal on to a group of cells called projection neurons. Then the signal undergoes a transformation as it is passed to a body of neurons in the fly brain called Kenyon cells.

Fan Spends $100,000 On Plastic Surgery To Look Like Justin Bieber

A crazed fan of pop singer Justin Bieber has spent over $100,000 on cosmetic surgery in a bid to look more like the teen sensation.

Toby Sheldon, 33, has had numerous procedures done to look more like his idol, including Botox injections, hair transplants, chin liposuction, an eyelid lift and smile surgery.

Britain's Daily Mail spke with the wannabe, who said, "Once Justin shot to fame, his face was everywhere and I all I kept thinking when I saw his picture was, 'I want to look like him'."

Sheldon says he never really listened to Bieber's music, but his "flawless" face is what inspired him.

"By using Justin's charming baby face as my inspiration, I've been able to restructure my entire look to maintain a much more youthful appearance through plastic surgery," he tells the Mail.

Kanye West Proposes To Kim Kardashian With 15-carat Diamond Ring

Popular Rapper and GOOD Music boss, Kanye West has finally proposed to his baby mama Kim Kardashian. He made the proposal while one of his own songs was playing.

The rapper reportedly popped the question to his reality star girlfriend - with whom he has four-month-old daughter North West - with the help of a 50-piece orchestra who played Lana Del Rey's 'Young and Beautiful', before the band serenaded Kim with Kanye's chart-topping hit 'Knock You Down', which also features Keri Hilson and Ne-Yo on record.

According to E! News, the hip-hop star rented out the whole of San Francisco's AT&T Park for the special occasion, which also marked Kim's 33rd birthday yesterday (10.21.13).

Mavin Records diva, Tiwa Savage is angry! That is official.  And it’s because a few days ago, A local magazine, TW Magazine, gave her the honor of gracing their front page (displayed above), but failed to review her debut album, (Once Upon A time) properly.

The Pop singer was so angry, that she called to express her disappointment with the article, and she was placated. But it appears the singer wasn’t ready to let the story drop, so she called them out publicly on twitter. See her tweet below.

Justin Bieber Causes Trouble Last Weekend

Being in the public eye can cause a lot of headache along with the perks of fame, and Justin Bieber became the target of some official scrutiny recently.

This past weekend, a photo of the "Hold Tight" singer with a bottle of beer in his hand taken inside NOX Houston club drew the attention of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

After a complaint was filed, the Commission will investigate whether or not the Biebs was served alcohol, which could mean big problems for the club.

Also that weekend, the 19-year-old pop star was departing San Juan, Puerto Rico when airport security decided to conduct a "random search" through his many bags. Following an hour-long search, Justin was permitted to leave on a private jet.

2 Chainz Considering Releasing Sex Tape

Rapper 2 Chainz is considering releasing a sex tape to make some extra cash.

The My Story hitmaker, real name Tauheed Epps, is hoping the venture will make him a very rich man and make sure all his future mistakes are covered financially.

He tells Playboy magazine, "I want to put out a sex tape in the next five to 10 years and reap all the benefits in case I spend my hard-earned rap money doing boneheaded activities."

And 2 Chainz already has an idea of who he'd like to join him in bed for his sex tape: "I hate to say this, but I think Iggy Azalea's dope."

He also wouldn't be opposed to romancing his Beez In The Trap collaborator Nicki Minaj: "Yeah, I'd do that."
