Top-notch Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, admired
by millions of Nigerians and tenderly called Omosexy, has said she
should not be included in the list of celebrities who make friends with
politicians.
Speaking at the Nigerian Entertainment
Conference (NEC) last week the mother of four claimed that she had never
been among those who keep company either with government or
politicians, Vanguard reports.

on a blog a few days ago wrote that there are Nollywood personalities
who are friends with politicians, sharing the national cake together. I,
Omotola, have never campaigned or partied with any government, so don’t
mention my name among those who do that. I have suffered enough for
refusing to party with them and take ‘Ghana Must Go’ back home, so don’t
let me suffer more," she stated.
She also added that if a celebrity wished to be friends with politicians, one should do so without making connection between politicians' activities and the celebrity's brand.
Probably her remark is the reaction to the attack made by singer Etcetera, who mentioned Omotola among other popular personalities allegedly making friends with politicians - Etcetera made this statement right after the tragic Nyanya bombing.
