
Nigerian health workers under the umbrella of Joint Health
Sector Unions (JOHESU) have announce the suspension of their
3-month-old strike.
The decision was made public February 2, today, following the union’s meeting
The Chairman of the union, Mr Ayuba Wabba, thanked Jonathan for his personal intervention adding that it facilitated the development.
“The strike has been on for the past three months, we had series of meetings driven by the Ministry of Labour where we discussed that a three-person committee headed by the Minister of Health, to address the demands.

According to Wabba, President Jonathan vowed to solve the problems that caused the strike.
