OMG: Close Friend Dupes Mikel Obi Of N100M

Nigerian top footballer, Mikel Obi has been reportedly duped of N100m by a close friend.

According to report, Mikel was shown a property for sale by this close friend.

The footballer then went on to inspect the property and was satisfied with it.

He was said to have given this friend a cheque of N100m to purchase the property.

The friend after clearing the money has reportedly disappeared into thin air and till date Mikel is yet to hear from him.

According to a source who confirmed the story, Mikel still finds it difficult to believe as they were very close, adding that the friend is no longer seen in town and his phone numbers have been unreachable.

The source also said Mikel is still very much busy to come to Nigeria to report the case to the police.

A new study suggests that women with asthma could have more difficulty conceiving, resulting in prolonged time to pregnancy. Researchers say the study, published in the European Respiratory Journal, adds to previous research suggesting that asthma impacts fertility.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), about 1 in 12 people in the US has asthma, which totals around 25 million individuals.

Women are more likely than men to have asthma, which makes this current study particularly important.

Although the coexistence of infertility and asthma has been previously observed, this recent study investigates the link between asthma and delayed pregnancy in a large-scale analysis of twins.

Ongoing Power Outage At Murtala Muhammed International Airport In Lagos Paralyzes Flight Operations

Twice tonight the entire Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos suffered massive power outages leading to disruptions in flight operations at the airport.

The power outage happened twice according to a journalist, Ahmed Salkida, who witnessed the blackout.
The first blackout which happened at 7:45pm lasted for two minutes. A second one, which is still ongoing, started at 8:06 PM.

Salkida, who is a passenger on a Dubai bound Emirates flight said the boarding is currently going on in complete darkness as the airliner deploys torchlight to assist customers to get on board.

Managing Director of Radio Services, Daar Communications, Kenny Ogungbe, lost his mother yesterday evening.

Otunba Letticia Onojoke, aged 80, died in Abuja yesterday, in the arms of one of her children. Her death was confirmed on Tuesday evening.

One of the police officers was also shot and the second one managed to escape with bullet injuries. As the robbers made to escape, they were interrupted, which made them start shooting randomly and killing people.

Lady GaGa to Perform in Outer Space in 2015

Lady GaGa has decided that her next big performance will be held in outer space. According to Us Weekly, the Mother Monster is set to blast off in a Virgin Galactic spaceship and perform one song during the Zero G Colony high-tech musical festival in 2015.

Zero G Colony is a three-day music festival that will take place at Spaceport America in New Mexico. GaGa's performance in space will take place on the third day at dawn, six months after the first Virgin Galactic commercial flight.

Cultist Attack Residents In Lagos As Member Regains Freedom From Prison

Hoodlums suspected to be cult members, on Tuesday attacked residents of Akoka, Lagos State robbing them of their valuables.

The hoodlums, numbering over 50 also destroyed over 10 cars in the attack which was said to have lasted for about 30 minutes.

According to report, trouble started after one Balogun aka small Japron who was released from prison under controversial circumstances held a birthday and welcome party at Kayode Market Street and some of the thugs at the party, proceeded to Solanke and Adenuga Kajero streets to wreck havoc.

According to one of the resident, Ayowole, they had informed the police ahead of the party when they got gist about it and so they were surprised when they saw the hoodlums operating freely without police intervention.

Some of the victims said that the hoodlums were armed with guns and cutlasses and attacked many shops on the affected streets, while also robbing pedestrians, adding that it was after the hoodlums had left that policemen arrived at the area.

Kanye West Cancels More Shows as 'Yeezus' Tour Resumes

Earlier this month, Kanye West announced that he postponed his "Yeezus" tour indefinitely due to a truck accident that damaged the property of his concert. Now, the tour is set to resume with some dates being rescheduled and some others being canceled.

"The Yeezus Tour will resume its scheduled routing on Saturday, November 16th at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA," reads a statement posted on the rapper's website. "The Chicago, Toronto, and Detroit dates have been rescheduled."

Meanwhile, shows in Vancouver, Denver, Colombus, Ohio, Minneapolis and St. Louis have all been scrapped "due to routing logistics."

"Yeezus" tour kicked off last month in Seattle. A few days later, he canceled the Vancouver tour on October 31 after a truck carrying equipment for the show was involved in an accident. "A truck carrying The Yeezus Tour's custom-made video truss and 60-ft circular LED screen was in an accident that damaged the gear beyond repair," West's team said in a statement.

"This gear is central to the staging of The Yeezus Tour, and central to the creative vision put forth by Kanye West and his design team at DONDA," the statement continued. "As a result of this event, it is impossible to put on the show and The Yeezus Tour will be postponed until these essential pieces can be reengineered and refabricated."
